Consumer links Updated November 09, 2009
Finding medical information you can trust on the Internet can be difficult. That's why the Greater Hazleton Health Alliance is offering this section of links to consumer health sites.
These sites have been reviewed using the Health Summit Working
Group guidelines and other criteria including credibility,
sponsorship/authorship, content, audience, currency, disclosure,
purpose, links, design, interactivity, and caveats. Health
sciences librarians are uniquely qualified, through our training
and experience, to evaluate the quality of health-related
websites. We hope you use evaluative criteria on all health
web sites you use.
PLEASE NOTE: No direct recommendation or
sponsorship is being made by the Greater Hazleton Health Alliance
regarding these listed web resources. The resources referenced
here are intended to provide general information for you.
Some resources will contain information that is the opinion
of the author and not necessarily that of your physician.
Please consult your health care provider for individual information
on your specific condition. The Greater Hazleton Health Alliance
